Funeral Services for Floyd F. Whaley, age 83, of the Glade Creek Community, were conducted on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Floyd officiated and interment followed in the West Cemetery. Mr. Whaley was born on Friday, May 29, 1942, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to the late Andrew West and Bertha Mae Wooliver Whaley. Mr. Whaley passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at his home. Mr. Whaley retired from GM Chevrolet In Toledo, Ohio, with 30 years of service. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He was a remarkable man whose love for his wife and family was the center of his world. He had a gift for lifting others up, always seeing the good in everyone he met. Known for his joyful spirit, he was rarely without a smile and brought warmth and laughter wherever he went. He carried no hate in his heart - only kindness, compassion, and love. His presence touched so many lives, and his loss will be deeply and forever felt. He was survived by his wife of 64 years, Kathy Farley Whaley of the Glade Creek Community; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Richard Porath of Monterey, TN, Teresa and Bruce Willey of Sparta, TN; grandchildren, Heather Fincher (Nathan Feeler) of Crossville, TN, Richie Porath of Monterey, TN, Christopher Fincher (Megan Davis) of Crossville, TN, Melissa Willey of Sparta, TN, Shelby Willey of Gainesboro, TN, Dalton Willey of Sparta, TN, and Dustin Conrad of Michigan; great grandchildren, Isabella Porath, Lilly Fincher, Chloe Feeler, Dallas Fincher, Skyler Capeles, Clementine Fincher, Bentley Feeler, Jackson Feeler, Aayron Willey, Sawyer Willey, Isabelle Conrad, Bronson Conrad, Hadley Conrad, Maddux Conrad, Brylee Davis, and Alex Davis; sister, Margaret Hensley of Sparta, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Whaley of Sparta, TN, Harrison (Carolyn) Whaley of Sparta, TN, Ed (Mary) Whaley of Speedwell, TN, Gene (Charlene) Whaley of Michigan; sisters-in-law, Beulah Whaley of Cookeville, TN, and Sue Whaley of Speedwell, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Floyd Franklin Whaley Jr.; brothers, Ernest Whaley, Barney Whaley, Bruce Whaley, and Roy Whaley; sisters-in-law, Donna Whaley and Barb Whaley.
